Good and bad vineyard managment
Spring:
bud burst, everything is getting green again and work becomes very intense. To all readers of this post: I just want to "bring" you behind the scences, because a vineyard is not just a vineyard. A good vineyard is located on a specific site, with interesting soil and microclimate and with good working practice done. Here are some snapshots about good and bad vineyard managment:

Very intense ploughing. No cover crop - loss of humus.

Deep ploughing - perfect for erosion; less soil activity and life.

Diversity in the cover of plants and grass. Mechanic weed managment under the vines.

Herbicides destroy soil life and make week plants (vines).

Steep hills: growing plants in rows and under the vines to decrease erosion and to enhance soil life and diversity.
