Gottfried Lamprecht is because of his job a master of slowness, but on the other side he thinks he is impatient. As a vigneron who does his work very traditional, he excludes tempo and mass in his production process. This demands specific thinking over all things going on. And this is where Michaela Lang has come to the project.  The following april-festival is going to be at Lamprecht's  "Herrenhof".

I have found this video in the internet - and it speaks from my heart. It's about how wine is produced, accordingly how the consumer is fooled. You can be sure that what I am doing at the Herrenhof is producing real natural wine. Just check out my Charta: Herrenhof Charta.

It's january, the snow-month. But for this we can search a lot - we have here in styria quite moderate temperatures, no snow, not even rain for months. It's not a big problem in the vineyards at the moment. The vineyards fortunately tend to root deep. So it's no problem with rain now -  but on the other side plants do not need a lot of water in the wintertime...

Another important work will start here at the estate soon. I mean the pruning season. Traditionally the months february to march are perfect for pruning the vines and other plants. This year pruning can be really relaxed: it's not cold at all, we have a lot of sun and the temperatures are very moderate - at around approx. 0 degrees celsius. And this is pretty warm for this time of the year.

January is all in all the month of regeneration: for the vines, for all other plants and also for the people - and for me too. There are already some things planned and I am happy to get those thinks done in the following months.
